Emily Bekker worked on VMag as both a Graphic Designer (2019-2021) and Co-Editor-In-Chief (2021-2022). She graduated from the university in 2022 and has continued to work in the public arts. She currently works as a Gallery Assistant at Georgetown Frame Shoppe as well as an etching printmaker. Her artwork was featured in the SHE:DC gallery in 2024 and 2026.

Emily Bekker ‘22Allison Metcalf served as both a Features Writer and Features Editor during her time with VMag from 2023-2025. She graduated from UVA in 2025 and went on to pursue her J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center, which is what she is currently up to. This summer she will be interning at a public defender office in Northern Virginia.

Mia Gualtieri ‘23Mia Gualtieri was active in VMag from 2021-2023, during which she served as both a Graphic Designer and Editor-In-Chief. After graduating from university in 2023, she has begun working as a freelance film and music director in Los Angeles. She has directed music videos and worked with art departments on projects ranging from the Talking Heads “Psychokiller” music video to Kogonada’s “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey”. She has also gone on to associate produce a documentary.

Arola Oluwehinmi ‘25Arola Oluwehinmi worked on VMag as a stylist (2023-2024) and Production Co-Director (2024-2025). She graduated from UVA in 2025 and has since staffed the 2025 Democratic gubernatorial campaign in Virginia and worked to elect the first female governor in state history. Currently, she is working as a Legislative Intern on Capitol Hill.
